On behalf of the 354 000 members belonging to 34 affiliates of StreetNet International, we extend this message of support to NASVI on the occasion of your 2010 National Conference and Annual General Meeting.

 NASVI is StreetNet’s biggest affiliate, and one of the most active in terms of your campaign work on the World Class Cities for All (WCCA) campaign which was launched at an international StreetNet meeting in Delhi in 2008. All eyes will be on your campaign by the time the Commonwealth Games come to Delhi in October 2010. We also want to wish you the best in your ongoing campaign to get all the states of India to adopt laws and policies which are in line with the National Street Vendors’ Policy adopted in 2004 as a result of the hard work of NASVI.

We very much regret not being able to have a StreetNet representative at your National Conference to present this message in person this year – unfortunately our organiser Monica Garzaro who was selected to do this has been unable to attend due to visa problems.

Please continue with your outstanding work, and continue to provide a shining example to all the affiliates of StreetNet.
